"Dynamite" the third CD in a series of new East Side Records releases
from Vancouver is no let-down. A total of 16 songs, a fantastic warm
and clean sound, a wonderful singer, lots of variety, superb backing
musicians. What else could you ask for?!" - Blue Suede News #63 Summer,
2003 Carla is another formidable talent and there isn't a single dud in this fine collection which I rated as one of the best CD's I expect to hear this year. The duet with Pete Turland on 'lt Doesn't Matter Anymore' has loads of appeal too. Both CDs are strongly recommended! - Now Dig This June 2003 www.nowdigthis.co.uk/ "Infectious" is definitely the word for this no-holds-barred album
of up-tempo rockabilly and alt country twang. Miss Rugg appears boldly
in the all-together, albeit with cowgirl boots and a hat, hidden from
prying eyes by a big old cutaway acoustic guitar, on the cover. This
music throbs with emotion, action, and cool lyrics, all sung to an infectious
beat, that is livened by guitar licks and fills that are chock full
of thrills rather than fretboard gymnastics and Top 40 clichés. When
Carla Rugg meets her Larry Wannagas this music will set the world on
fire. - Country Music News January 2003
